MISSION
- Facilitate research in all engineering and closely-related disciplines, and foster excellence in these research activities.
- Catalyze collaborative research across engineering departments and related disciplines.
- Develop and foster interdisciplinary research atmosphere and a culture of excellence.
- Establish collaboration with other internal and external centers and institutions in the region and state.
- Adopt and foster a proactive outreach and technology transfer policy in the North Texas region and nationally.
VISION
- Umbrella organization with infrastructure to develop competitive research programs, build unique labs and cultivate multi-faceted and cross-disciplinary collaborations.
- Develop sustainable research programs in significant technology areas to secure a leadership position for UNT across North Texas, the state and the nation.
- Become a magnet to attract outstanding faculty and researchers and engage agencies and companies for their R&D needs.
- Transform UNT into a Research University. Provide the technical infrastructure necessary to support engineering and applied science research.
